Bpuntio Catarratto Chardonnay is a blend of organically grown Catarratto and Chardonnay grapes crafted by Terre Cevico in Italy as a 100% Organic Certified Wine.
The Bpuntio range includes 5 different wines that are produced in Emilia Romagna, Sicily and Apulian. All of the wines are certified according to the Reg. UE 834/2007 and 203/2012 by CCPB and also obtained the organic certification for the Chinese market. This Bpuntio Catarratto Chardonnay comes from Sicily.
Both grape varieties are harvested separately and pressed to extract the must, which is then fermented in steel tanks at 16°C to exalt its fruity flavour. After fermenting, the wine remains on the finest dregs of the yeast for 6-8 months.
Frankly, the vast majority of Organic wines are dire. It makes no sense why something as wholesome as gaining organic status almost always results in quality and consistency issues. We’re pleased to say that this is a wine that starts to buck that trend by offering really good quality at a great price.
Deep golden colour with green glints. Fresh, mineral nose with notes of citrus fruits and linden. Moderate structure, fresh acidity and a markedly fruity aftertaste.
Raw or grilled fish is a good base to start from when pairing this wine with food. Crisp and fresh salads. Camembert PDO is an exceptional cheese crafted in keeping with the ancestral traditions of master cheesemakers. Camembert was reputedly first made in 1791 by Marie Harel, a farmer from Normandy, following advice from a priest who came from Brie.
Made from raw milk collected from producers in Normandy pastureland, each cheese is hand-ladled on tables. Each 250-gram cheese is made from 2.3 litres of fresh milk, all sourced locally from Normandy with all milk being 100% organic.
