Grand Old Fashioned Cocktail
Grand Old Fashioned Cocktail is simply when Grand Marnier is added to the traditional Old Fashioned, delivering a smoother and more elegant finish, while delicately layering bitter and sweet flavours. Okay, so you can shoot us down for cocktail blasphemy as technically it needs a few dashes of bitters to be a real Old Fashioned – so if you have bitters at home, add it. Ingredients
- 30 ml Grand Marnier Cordon Rouge
- 30 ml Wild Turkey Bourbon Whiskey
- Large ice cube
- Orange twist to garnish
Steps
- Combine Grand Marnier and whiskey in an old fashioned glass (you might call this a rocks glass)
- Add a large ice cube and stir until cold and well mixed.
- Garnish the surface of the drink with an orange twist (basically, squeeze and twist the orange peel so some of the oils are ejected over the top of the drink and then plonk the orange peel in the glass)
