The inaugural gin from Isle of Raasay Distillery, fittingly dubbed Isle of Raasay Gin! A tipple of firsts, it’s also the very first spirit to be legally distilled on the island, which has a long history of illicit distilling. Among the 10 botanicals are local Raasay juniper, rhubarb root and even Raasay triple distilled spirit. Delicious stuff from the Hebrides.
Tasting Notes
NOSE：Fresh and aromatic, with juniper, sweet orange, candied lemon and hints of rhubarb.
PALATE：Dry with bursts of juniper, richer rhubarb and citrus notes before all the flavours harmonise together for a refreshing finish.
FINISH：Dry and zesty, with a lasting aftertaste that encapsulates Raasay’s style and character.

50ml Isle of Raasay Gin | Tonic Water | Slice of orange skin | Ice
Method
Serve with your favourite mixer, ice and orange peel, expressing the oils into your glass and around the rim for extra zest.
The dry nature of the gin also makes it the perfect base for cocktails.
*Sunset Spritz
Ingredients
50ml Isle of Raasay Gin | 25ml Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc | 10ml Fresh Lemon Juice | Pink lemonade | Strip of Lemon Zest | Ice
Method
1. Begin by pouring your Isle of Raasay Gin into a tall glass of your choosing.
2. Add Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc, followed by fresh lemon juice and topped off with pink lemonade.
3. Add ice, a twist of lemon for garnish. The perfect accompaniment for a refreshing gin cocktail!
*Raasay Martini
Ingredients
50ml Isle of Raasay Gin | 12.5ml Lillet Vermouth | Twist of Orange Zest | Ice
Method
Slice a thin zest of orange, gently twist and set aside.
Next, fill your mixing glass with ice and add your Isle of Raasay Gin. Take in the sweet, citrus notes of the spirit before adding in your measure of vermouth.
Stir the contents until the mixture has become thoroughly chilled. Now serve ‘straight up’ into your martini glass, straining the liquid and leaving the ice behind.
To finish, gently place your twist of orange on the rim of the glass and and enjoy this delicious gin cocktail.
