Maxus Polish Vodka
6 x 700ml Bottles
Maxus Polish Vodka is exactly what it says on the label. It’s vodka and it’s Polish (from Poland). Despite the urban myth than vodka is Russian, it’s not. It’s Polish. Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise.
We have all had cheap vodka. We’ve all been made ill by it. Vile stuff that should be outlawed at an interplanetary level. The sad thing is that cheap vodka doesn’t actually need to be bad. It’s cheap as chips to make, typically about a dollar or a euro a bottle, plus a glass bottle, a label, the costs to distribute it all over the place, and some profit for the producer.
Bad vodka comes from scrimping a few percentage points off the base ingredients (spending US$0.27 per litre instead of US$0.30 on your ingredients) or by being too cheap and lazy to FILTER the vodka when it’s made. A sack full of cat litter (activated carbon) is enough to clean up a few thousand litres, but, well, it’s another US$0.05 per litre on production costs.
At the other extreme, when you’re paying a fortune for some “special vodka” in the pretty bottle you’re being mugged.
