Saint Paul Rhum
Saint Paul Rhum is a “Rhum Agricole” sugar cane juice Rhum from the French island of la Réunion. The Rhum is distilled in Savanna and Vue Belle and originally sold in the neighbouring town of St Paul. Hence the name. What we have here is an absolutely amazing bargain of a Rhum. 1000ml for only ¥88.88. Do the maths, that works out to only ¥62.21 for a 700ml bottle equivalent. That probably makes Saint Paul Rhum the cheapest Rhum you can get your hands on.
Appearance – Amber-ish.
Nose – The show opens with toasted nut, lemon & sage, mango and passion fruit aromas dancing around, with a hint of a Bourbon in the air.
Palate – A wonderful copper tone on the palate, then hints of citrus, caramel, cinnamon and nuts round up the story.
Finish – Spicy like white pepper, cinnamon and nutmeg. The warm and long finish leaves us with a smile on our face.
