The History
GINSTR – Stuttgart Dry Gin was in the truest sense of the word a crazy idea. Two good friends, (Kommafehler) who met by chance years ago, share a common passion: Gin! Deriving from this passion for gin the dream of these two guys from Stuttgart was creating their own perfect gin. The result came after more than two years of trying out recipes and brainstorming. In December 2016 GINSTR was launched!
Tasting Notes
PALATE: On the palate, GINSTR is spicy and lemony too. The pine needles and the rosemary are there, lemon and lime peel. The 44% ABV is definitely noticeable on the palate and in the course of time, the oranges and spices are also making their way here.
FINISH: dry, spicy, medium-long
Prizes and Awards for GINSTR – Stuttgart Dry Gin
Gold at the World-Spirits Award and Trophy Winner at the IWSC 2018
GINSTR has been on the market since December 2016, and in 2018 was awarded as the ‘Gold Spirit Winner’ of the World-Spirits Award 2018 and winner of the ‘Gin & Tonic Trophy’ by the International Wine & Spirit Company 2018 in London.
According to the international jury (consisting of 400 jurors), GINSTR – Stuttgart Dry Gin is the best gin for Gin Tonic. More than 600 brands from 90 countries participated in this competition in London – this years winner coming from Stuttgart. Particularly proud is GINSTR of the additional IWSCGold Award with the addition ‘Outstanding’ for the particularly clear test result.
GINSTR was also awarded with the Chinese double gold medal at the China Wine and Spirits Awards (CWSA). This wine and spirits competition is the biggest competition in Hong Kong and China
