Vaccari is an Italian brand of Sambuca, an Italian anise-flavoured, usually colourless, liqueur, developed by the Vaccari company and today owned and distributed worldwide by the Dutch spirits company Lucas Bols B.V. It is a sweet, strong liqueur, whose base is made of essential oils extracted from star anise seeds through steam distillation, with added sugar and other natural flavorings to create this traditional spirit. Vaccari Sambuca is a clear and pure liqueur with a delicious aniseed aroma and taste. It can be served flamed after consuming a few coffee beans or thinned with water or served over ice cream.
